ABOUT

Jacques-André Manfredi

Born French and Austrian, I grew up moving between Vienna and Corsica throughout my early years, five times, to be exact, between the ages of four and sixteen. Switching countries, languages, and school systems became normal early on and strongly shaped how I perceive places, cultures, and the way people live within them.

I finished high school in Vienna at the Lycée Français, graduating with both the French Baccalauréat and the Austrian Matura, a choice that allowed me to fully inhabit both languages and cultures rather than choosing one over the other.

I later studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna, combining my studies with professional work experience. During this time, I completed an exchange semester at EPFL in Lausanne, and an internship there.

I worked on a wide range of architectural projects across different scales and typologies. You can explore these selected projects, ranging from housing, theatres, and university buildings to public spaces, landscapes, thermal baths, and more experimental artistic projects. Including my Master’s thesis, an urban project composed of five buildings designed for my hometown in Corsica.
